
Biology and Oracy Fieldwork
Biology of the rocky shore and big environmental questions
Location: Menai Bridge
Main Areas of Learning: biology, geography, history and oracy
Age: Key Stage 2
(it can be adapted for Secondary school pupils - inquire for more details)

The day will include:
-
Walk to observe the Menai Straits today and to consider how it has changed over time
-
Activities that will promote understanding of the solar system and the effect this has on the tides and the wildlife

Study of the wildlife of the rocky shore (seaweed, molluscs, birds and other sea animals) in their habitat

followed by an opportunity for pupils to form their own questions in order to discuss some key modern environmental issues ( such as climate change, sea level rise, plastic waste, sea pollution etc)

Cost
£200 per day (there is a 10% discount if you book before Easter)
Group size
It is possible to take one primary school class at a time ( up to 30 children)
